Sólstöðuhlaup - North Iceland
On May 27th, something a little different happened - instead of us reaching out to an event, they reached out to us.
Hafrún from the Sólstöðuhlaup team had noticed HUMAN+ on social media and got in touch to ask whether we would be interested in partnering with their event, taking place on June 20th in North Iceland.
From the very beginning, she was incredibly friendly, professional, and it quickly felt like a great match.
Sólstöðuhlaup takes place in Vaðlaheiði by Eyjafjörður, just across from Akureyri, with the races finishing at Skógarböðin (Forest Lagoon).
With the event taking place in North Iceland, attending in person wasn’t practical for us this time. Instead, we found another way to make HUMAN+ part of the experience.
We provided FLOW samples for the race bib packages, giving runners a chance to discover and try the product themselves. We also supplied full FLOW packs for the winner packages and raffle prizes.
And although we couldn’t make it to the event itself, we still got the chance to meet Hafrún in person.
While she was passing through Reykjavík on her way back home, we met up, handed everything over and had a chance to talk through the collaboration.
Along the way, we supported each other through social media, shared the event with our communities and stayed in close contact with the team.
We’re very grateful that they discovered HUMAN+ and decided to reach out to us, and we’re already looking forward to hopefully working together again in the future!
